Atrás dele, Kendrick Lamar e Rihanna apareceram na vice-liderança com cinco indicações cada. A lista ainda contemplou grandes nomes como Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Drake, Jay-Z e Cardi B, que concorrem em múltiplas categorias.

Já aos prêmios destinados a atores, Lupita Nyong’o, Issa Rae, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Bassett, Tiffany Haddish Letitia Wright concorrem a Melhor Atriz, enquanto Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Donald Glover, Sterling K. Brown, Denzel Washington e Daniel Kaluuya estão na disputa pela estatueta de Melhor Ator.

O BET Awards 2018 está marcado para o dia 24 de junho, e será transmitido ao vivo direto do Microsoft Theater, em Los Angeles.
