People’s Choice Awards 2019: “Stranger Things” e “Vingadores: Ultimato” dominam a noite, e Jennifer Aniston recebe homenagem emocionante de Adam Sandler; vem saber tudo!

Entre os premiados, “Vingadores: Ultimato” e “Stranger Things” largaram na frente. O desfecho da famosa saga da Marvel faturou três das sete estatuetas às quais concorria, incluindo o de “Melhor Ator de Cinema” para Robert Downey Jr. A produção da Netflix empatou no número de troféus, ao vencer as categorias “Melhor Série”, “Melhor Série de Drama” e “Melhor Atriz da TV” para Millie Bobby Brown, a Eleven da trama.

Os super-heróis confirmaram ainda estarem em alta com o público mesmo. Além dos prêmios para “Vingadores”, o longa “Homem-Aranha: Longe de Casa” levou a melhor em duas categorias: “Melhor Estrela de Filme de Ação” e “Melhor Atriz de Cinema”, coroando os atores Tom Holland e Zendaya, respectivamente.

No time da música, uma grande surpresa. A girlband sul-coreana BlackPink acabou desbancando Ariana Grande, uma das favoritas da noite, que concorria em seis categorias. As meninas faturaram três prêmios de “Melhor Grupo”, “Melhor Videoclipe” e “Melhor Turnê”. Billie Eilish se destacou como “Melhor Cantora” e Taylor Swift recebeu a estatueta de “Melhor Álbum” por “Lover”.

Além de entregar os troféus aos favoritos do público, o “People’s Choice Awards” coroou três estrelas maravilhosas em categorias especiais. A cantora Gwen Stefani recebeu o título de “Ícone Fashion”, enquanto a inesquecível Rachel de “Friends”, Jennifer Aniston foi homenageada com o “People’s Icon”. A estatueta foi entregue à atriz por ninguém menos que Adam Sandler, seu amigo de longa data.

“Obrigada por essa honra incrível! Existem vários prêmios, mas receber algo pela preferência do público é ainda mais especial. Não faríamos o que fazemos se não fosse por vocês. E vocês têm sido tão gentis comigo. Mas eu só estou aqui por causa de um programa, um elenco e um corte de cabelo. Muito obrigada a todos vocês que até hoje assistem a ‘Friends’ e que acreditaram em mim, nos atores e naqueles apartamentos impossivelmente grandes. Obrigada por permanecerem comigo“, brincou ela em seu discurso.

Já a diva P!nk recebeu a estatueta “People’s Champion Award” por seu trabalho em prol de causas humanitárias. “É uma honra absoluta receber esse prêmio. Eu cresci numa família ativista e sempre soube que uma pessoa poderia fazer a diferença. Se você acha que sua existência não faz diferença, se envolva! Não me importo com política, me importo com o futuro dos seus filhos! Parem de brigar uns com os outros e passem a ajudar uns aos outros”, pediu.
