Rolou na noite deste domingo (21) a 25ª edição do Billboard Music Awards, aquela premiação com pencas de performances musicais, que reconhece os artistas que mais se destacaram nas paradas de sucesso no último ano. O bapho esse ano foi apresentado pela dupla Ludacris e Vanessa Hudgens, que já começaram anunciando Nicki Minaj para abrir o prêmio.

E se o assunto é paradas de sucesso, só podia dar ele, né?! Sem surpresas, Drake foi consagrado o grande vencedor desta edição da premiação, levando pra casa 13 prêmios dos 22 aos quais estava indicado. Com isso, ele se tornou o artista mais premiado do BBMAs num mesmo ano, quebrando o recorde que era da Adele. Cata o discurso dele ao receber o prêmio de “melhor artista”, o mais importante da noite:

Por falar no Drake, ela ainda fez uma performance de “Gyalchester” na Fonte de Bellagio, em Vegas, com direito a fogos de artifício e a água voando pra tudo que é lado. Confira:

Ainda nos destaques entre os vencedores, os meninos da banda coreana BTS venceram na categoria ‘Top Social Artist’ e se tornaram a primeira boyband de K-Pop a levar um prêmio no BBMAs. Que arraso, né?!
E como de costume, o que não faltou foi apresentação musical pra agitar a noite no T-Mobile Arena. Nomes como Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, John Legend e muito mais se apresentaram no palco da cerimônia.
Mas tivemos duas em especial que merecem destaque. A primeira foi a emocionante performance da Céline Dion, que cantou “My Heart Will Go On” em comemoração aos 20 anos do lançamento da música clássica de “Titanic”. Olha que lindo:

QUE MOMENTO! (Foto: Getty) Outro momento grandioso foi no finalzinho da cerimônia, quando Cher subiu ao palco para cantar o hino atemporal “Believe”, após 15 anos sem se apresentar em premiações. A diva das divas foi homenageada com o “Icon Award” com um VT que relembrou os feitos de sua carreira e voltou ao palco com aquela sua peruca icônica para cantar outra clássica, “If I Could Turn Back Time”. Ao receber a estatueta das mãos da Gwen Stefani, Cher lembrou que acabou de completar 71 anos e que continua mais em forma do que nunca. Ela mencionou também a importância de se fazer o que se ama desde sempre, lembrando que faz isso há mais de 50 anos. Maravilhosa, né?! Veja o discurso dela:
