Rolou na noite deste domingo (3) na arena The Forum, em Inglewood, na California, a quarta edição do iHeartRadio Music Awards, aquela premiação que elege os destaques da música nas rádios norte-americanas. Apresentado por Jason Derulo, o bapho contou com a participação de estrelas como Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Miley Cyrus e Fifth Harmony.
O bapho já começou com Katy pondo todo mundo pra dançar ao som de seu novo single “Chained to the Rhythm”. Em mais uma performance cheia de significados e críticas sociais, ela trouxe um hamster gigante, encheu o palco de crianças operárias e cantou ao lado do Skip Marley. Olha que maravilhosa:
Em seguida, Justin Timberlake subiu ao palco da premiação para receber o prêmio de Música do Ano, por “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, da animação “Trolls”, que bombou nas rádios nesse último ano.
“Eu escrevi esta canção porque eu queria que fosse sobre inclusão, sobre estar juntos. E então, eu acho que quero aproveitar esta oportunidade para falar com os jovens agora, porque há muitos de vocês olhando para mim. Se você é negro, ou marrom, ou gay, ou lésbica, ou trans – ou talvez você seja apenas um garoto cantor do Tennessee. Qualquer um que o esteja tratando mal, é só porque eles estão com medo ou eles têm sido ensinados a ter medo do quão importante você é. Porque ser diferente significa que você está fazendo a diferença. Então, eles que se fodam“, disse Justin.
Miley, que há um bom tempo não aparecia em premiações, foi ao “iHeart Awards” para introduzir a performance de sua irmã Noah Cyrus, a quem ela definiu como “a pessoa mais legal que eu conheço”. Hahahah, fofas, né? Noah se juntou ao Labrinth e eles cantaram a parceria “Make Me (Cry)”. Confira:
Ed Sheeran foi outra atração musical, que agitou o público com performances de “Shape of You” e “Castle on the Hill”, de seu mais recente álbum “Divide”. Podia ter cantado até três músicas, porque nosso ruivinho nunca é demais, né?! Cata:
E as apresentações musicais seguiram com tudo com os meninos do The Chainsmokers, que venceram prêmios como artista revelação e música dançante do ano, por “Closer (feat. Halsey)”. No final, Bruno Mars foi homenageado com o prêmio iHeartRadio Innovator Award, por suas conquistas e importância na indústria fonográfica. Como essa premiação ainda é nova, apenas Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake e U2 já receberam essa homenagem. Além disso, Bruninho encerrou o bapho com um medley delicioso de “Treasure” e “That’s What I Like”.
