Que noite! Nesse domingo (11), várias celebs se juntaram na Hermosa Beach, na Califórnia, para o “Teen Choice Awards 2019”. Comandado pela nossa eterna Pretty Little Liar Lucy Hale e pelo youtuber David Dobrik, o evento celebrou os destaques do cinema, da televisão, da música e do entretenimento em geral, de acordo com a opinião do público jovem.
Na TV, ‘Riverdale’ foi destaque levando quatro prêmios para casa, entre eles, o de “Melhor Série de Drama”. Também com quatro pranchas, “Vingadores: Ultimato” ficou em primeiro nas categorias de filmes, seguido de “After” e “Aladdin”, com três prêmios cada. Em relação à música, Shawn Mendes, BTS e Jonas Brothers foram os grandes vencedores e cada um levou 3 pranchas.
A premiação já começou dando uma prancha para nosso eterno Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr. levou o prêmio de “Ator de Filme de Ação” e “Filme de Ação” por “Vingadores: Ultimato” e juntou várias crianças vestidas de Homem de Ferro com ele no palco. O discurso? “Nós amamos vocês 3000”! Own!

Grande homenageada da noite, Taylor Swift foi a primeira pessoa a levar para casa a prancha (personalizada com os três gatinhos dela) de “Icon Award”, apresentada pela estrela de futebol Alex Morgan. No vídeo feito para honrar a cantora, ela ganhou declarações de Hayley Kiyoko, HAIM, Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khalifa, Troye Sivan e Jameela Jamil, que destacaram todas as qualidades da amiga.
Em seu discurso, Taylor elogiou a jogador e falou sobre a importância do time de futebol norte-americano na luta por igualdade de gêneros. A loira ainda ~surtou~ com Meredith, Olivia e Benjamin em seu prêmio, reforçou seu amor por seus fãs e anunciou que seu terceiro single, Lover, será lançado na sexta-feira, dia 16.
Tay ainda deu um conselho muito especial para os fãs jovens. “Uma coisa que eu gostaria de saber quando eu era adolescente é que os erros são inevitáveis. Não há problema em cometer erros e eu só quero que vocês saibam que, se você está lá fora, sendo duro consigo mesmo por errar, ou se sentindo envergonhado, é normal. Isso é o que vai acontecer com você na vida, ninguém sai ileso, todos nós vamos ter alguns arranhões. Estamos vivendo em um mundo louco e um tempo insano. Então, por favor, seja gentil consigo mesmo e aguente firme”, aconselhou.

Já o ator Jack Black foi o responsável por apresentar o prêmio “Decade Award” para os Jonas Brothers, após um vídeo emocionante que relembrava toda a carreira dos irmãos. Nick, Joe e Kevin subiram ao palco e fizeram um discurso sobre superação. “Se eu tivesse parado naquele momento eu nunca estaria aqui. Nós estamos contando essa história porque nosso primeiro prêmio foi um Teen Choice Awards. As coisas pelas quais as pessoas zoam você são as que te fazem especial, então abrace elas”, afirmou Nick. Fofo!
As apresentações da noite começaram com o OneRepublic, que animou o público com o medley de seus hits “Counting Stars” e “Rescue Me”. Monsta X trouxe o k-pop direto pro palco do Teen Choice e cantou “Who do u Love?”. CNCO apresentou “Pretend”, que levou o prêmio de “Melhor Música Latina”. Jordan McGraw e Sarah Hyland cantaram sua parceria “Met At a Party” pela primeira vez.
