BAFTA Television Awards 2020: “Chernobyl” lidera indicações, e “The Crown” também se destaca; Confira a lista completa

Normalmente em maio, o BAFTA deste ano vai acontecer no dia 31 de julho (com um evento no dia 17 para as categorias técnicas). A premiação foi adiada por conta da pandemia do novo coronavírus e agora vai acontecer em um estúdio fechado, com equipe praticando o distanciamento social e os vencedores aceitando os prêmios virtualmente.

Além de “Chernobyl”, “The Crown” também se destacou com sete indicações. Logo na sequência, a queridinha “Fleabag” e o thriller da Netflix “Giri/Haji” apareceram com seis nomeações cada. “His Dark Materials”, da HBO, e a série britânica “The Virtues” apareceram cinco vezes na lista.

Por fim, “Killing Eve”, que está em sua terceira temporada, o hit da Netflix “Sex Education”, e o drama do serviço de streaming “Top Boy” também não foram esquecidos, com quatro indicações cada.

De acordo com a “Variety”, a representatividade está entre as principais preocupações do BAFTA. Nesta edição, a lista viu um aumento de 22% de indicados negros e amarelos. Além disso, a premiação buscou reconhecer novos talentos e cerca de 57% da lista é composta por pessoas e produções nomeadas pela primeira vez.
